Discharging untreated, sediment-heavy water on-site can lead to environmental penalties and project delays. Our Settlement Tanks (also known as separation or silt tanks) provide a simple, high-capacity and reliable filtration solution to clear suspended solids, trace oils and fine silts from your pump discharge before it reaches watercourses or public drainage.
The settlement tank works by routing pumped water through a series of internal baffle plates – this reduces flow velocity and allows the sediment to fall to the bottom of the tank, whilst letting progressively cleaner water flow to the end of the tank.
At the end of the tank there is a 6″ Bauer type coupling which you can put a pipe on and route it toward your drainage point. You can then choose to add a 100µm or 280µm filter sock to catch any remaining sediment.
Designed to help your site adhere to GPP6 guidelines for pollution prevention on construction and demolition sites.
